Surely you can remember the feeling of cracking open a brand new book as a child. The smell of the pages, the excitement of entering a whole new world, the sense of mystery surrounding what lies ahead... this is a common feeling in The Sunrise Newbery Club! Have you seen footage of opening the doors at Black Friday sales? That's nothing compared to the frenzy that erupts when I unveil our newly purchased Newbery Club books!

 

We rely on the generous donation of people like you to help us purchase books for our Newbery Club. Each year, we need to spend approximately $2000.00 to buy multiple copies of the books we will be reviewing. After our election each year, these books are absorbed into our school and district library collections, ensuring they will be enjoyed for years to come!
