GET INVOLVED
Do you enjoy reading and talking about books? Please come share that joy with our students! Every week, parent volunteers are needed to lead small group discussions about that week's topic. It's easy - no preparation is necessary! Simply join your child during club time. I will always introduce that week's topic before giving each parent volunteer a paper with discussion questions. Don't think you'll have a lot to say? Don't worry, the kids will have plenty!

Parent Volunteers
Want to join Newbery Club? It's easy! Simply listen to morning announcements in September to hear when club will begin meeting that school year. Generally, Newbery Club will meet on Friday mornings before school in the library from September through January. Ready to start reading now? Simply click on the "WHAT WE'RE READING NOW..." tab above to see which titles we already know we'll be reviewing. You can check these out from your local public library (or, more likely, get on a waitlist for them) or purchase them yourself. If you do purchase them, please consider donating them to our club when you're done.
